Iran says Israel is playing with stability of region

(MENAFN) Iran has condemned Israel’s latest strikes in Syria, claiming they pose a serious and unprecedented threat to international peace and regional stability. On Wednesday, officials in Tehran called for urgent intervention from the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) and the United Nations in response to the growing situation.

In a statement, Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Esmail Baghaei denounced the attacks, accusing Israel of deliberately hitting civilian infrastructure and intensifying its control in the region.

"Today, it is clear to all that the Zionist regime represents the greatest threat to peace and stability in the region," Baghaei said.

"This regime, benefiting from the military and political support of the US as well as other Western countries—particularly Germany, the UK and France—is now threatening international peace and security in an unprecedented manner."

Baghaei also claimed that global silence in the face of what Iran describes as ongoing genocide and war crimes in Gaza has emboldened Israel’s broader military campaign across the Middle East.

He urged both the OIC and the UN to act immediately and decisively to stop what he called Israel’s dangerous provocations and expansionist policies before they lead to further instability in the region.
